In the past oh I don't know 5-6 years Target seemed to have totally revamp their image and actually seems like a "cool" place to shop! Don't you just love their commercials?! In the past they have worked with big time designers such as Proenza Scholer, Alexander McQueen, and Anna Sui to name a few and now just in time for summer CALYPSO!
There is just something I love about the style of Calypso I have so many items from that store including a dining table and chairs, bed frame and two solid wood side tables! This past December they had a sample sale and I got some really great deals. I admit some of their pieces are ridiculously expensive but they tend to get marked down fairly quickly and what I like most of their clothing is it can generally be worn year after year. It's not too trendy but then not too boring either that you get tired of it after one season.
While no images are available yet, the collection will include clothing and accessories for women and children, plus home goods like candles, pillows and glassware. “The Calypso St. Barth for Target collection is timed perfectly for summer and offers our guests destination-chic style at incredible prices,” vice president of merchandising Trish Adams said. While the core Calypso offerings (above) can reach upwards of $800, the label’s Target pieces will be $1.99 to $79.99.
So mark you calenders and get ready to shop on May 1st when the home accessories and apparel line from Calypso will be available at Target. I am not exaggerating when I say I go to Target at least twice a week. Thank god there's a Target literally right by my house! I just might be there right when they open to get the best Caylpso items.
