Now, this is an APP that is right up our alley. Designed by Shereen Koshnoodi, a mom of two (with another on the way), the innovative NYC Sample Sale APP for the iPhone that notifies users of any sample sales within one mile of their location.

I took this app for a test spin, or rather a test swipe, and I loved how

I could receive detailed information about dozens of sample sales in NYC while I was walking around the city. I simply plugged in my information and I was alerted of nearby sales from brands like Jacadi, Okaidi, Goat-milk, Diane Von Furstenburg, Theory and Tory Burch. I LOVED the convenience of this feature that enabled me to locate sales without doing research – everything was instantly in my phone! This included the address of the sale, what items were on sale, a description of the sale and the date/time of the sale as well as the ability to map it. This is fantastic for moms who don’t have the time to search but still want the deals – and some sales that have merchandise that is 80% off!

Through the app, you can see where the sales are via a map. It also categorizes sales by the brand, day and neighborhood. The app also includes a fashion news tab and a chic info tab so that you can maximize both your time and ability to save.

Barney's Annual Warehouse sale coming up!

Don't forget to add to your calendar the annual Barney's Warehouse sale scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 16th, 2012 and will last until Sunday, February 26th, 2012. I have been away for a long time and want to catch up on what I have been working on. My APP has finally launched and we are up to a 122 downloads since January 26th. I am pretty excited about it as it's the only APP of it's kind and there are currently over 1 million APPs for the iPhone. Can you believe it? There are a few other sample sale APPs but most seem to be out of business and the ones that are still in business do not offer the very cool location awareness feature our NYC SampleSales APP offers. If you're not already aware the location awareness feature is something truly special, it tracks the user's location and can notify the user of any and all sample sales/major retail sales within 1 mile of their location. For example, if I am on Lafayette and Grand St. in NYC it will notify me of the Calypso St. Barth Au Marche Women's Outlet on 426 Broome st. I recently bought a beautiful beaded dress that once retailed for $700 and I got it for around $220. If you like Calypso's laid back beach style this is one of NYC's best kept secret. It's definitely one of those places you have to check often as some days they have great deals and others well um, not so great.

Versace for H&M

Is this a serious trend now all the major high fashion brands are doing collections for these huge chains that reach the masses? Who started this trend was it H&M or what? So what do you think of the Versace line do you think it will sell as well as the Missoni for target?

The collection will be available in the US November 19th and the prices will range from $19.95 costume jewelry up to $299 for a leather jacket. Some of the pieces are iconic Versace like the bright vibrant colors with gold accents to the daring cuts. For the first time this collection will also include home decor, there will be pillows priced at $29.95 and $39.95 and bedspreads at $149.

Great Fall pieces from J. Crew

Last weekend I went to J. Crew to use a gift card I got from my mom for my birthday. The gift card was $150 but man did I spend way more than that. I just fell in love with all the bold colors they had on display right as you walked in the door. I love the royal blue leather gloves, the gorgeous sleek tan leather clutches and the beautiful heels in colors like, deep pink, royal blue, and nude to name a few. I resisted my temptation to buy yet another bag so I purchased the pink pumps and then started picking up pieces to go with the shoes. I love the red silky sleeveless top paired with the high-waisted skinny jeans. The shoes also look great with the navy silk skirt and the red sleeveless top. I also almost got the green silky long sleeve top as I think it would look great with skinny jeans or even the cute capri pants J. Crew has in a variety of colors.

NEW SAMPLE SALE APP

September 13th Missoni for Target

Finally we have actual images of what will be available for the Missoni collection at Target. Prices rage from $2.99 to $599.99 with most items costing around $40 and will be available from Sept. 13-Oct. 22nd and go the first day as items sell fast, at least that's what happened with the Calypso sale at Target.

Even though I don't really need a bike I love the Missoni bike how cool is that?! Also love the dishes and the button up Missoni sweater and the kids clothes can't be any cuter!
