Just had a baby!

On Sunday April 4th at 4PM our little girl Adriana was born. This birth wasn't as bad as my son's which took almost 36 hours of labor before he was born. The past week has been filled with late night feedings, catching up on sleep, and trying to organize the day with two kids now. In some sense it's a bit easier because you're not as cautious about everything but on the other hand dealing with a toddler and a newborn on totally different schedules is difficult at times. At least my 2 year old goes to daycare during the day! I have to say I don't know how the SAHM do it with all the kids at home and with no help. It's the most exhausting task there is! I used to be a real estate agent and when I started I would literally be walking around NYC in the heat and bitter cold taking clients to see cheap apartments that had no elevators and were sometimes 4-5 flight walk ups. I thought there was nothing more tiring than that but I was wrong, being with kids all day is 10 times more exhausting! At least when I got home from work I could put my feet up and go to bed without being woken up several times throughout the night. Ahhhh to sleep straight through the night.... I don't even remember what that's like.

Alright enough complaining... I will try and write at least once a week if not more. In the meantime here's some cute pics of "baby sissy!"

sex and the city part deux!

I loved Sex and the City when it was on HBO and loved seeing the first movie. Having lived in NYC since I was 18 I enjoy seeing certain restaurants and locations in New York that I have either been to or definitely recognize.

Love seeing all the fashion on the girls especially the handbags and shoes! I am planning a girl's night out on May 28th even though I will have newborn on my hands and a toddler but oh well I think my hubby can handle it for one night right?!

Make sure when you do your girl's night you put on your high heels i.e Manolos! I still have some that have I never worn and are collecting dust so a good excuse to bring them out.

Spring time jewelry

I have recently become a big fan of J. Crew which if you would've told me that 5 years ago I would've said NO WAY TOO PREPPY! It seems as though in the last couple of years their style has become much cooler and chic and a lot less East Coast prep school style. I love their dresses, shoes, and especially their jewelry. I have never been a big fan of costume jewelry but slowly began incorporating pieces into my outfits (yes even now with a baby and one on the way) and it makes such a huge difference!

I love adding either big earrings and maybe a few gold bangles or several long necklaces and small earrings; however I try not to over do it because then it just looks silly. I also love thick bracelets and beaded cuffs. I once got a great jeweled cuff at Calypso. Check out these strand pearl necklaces from J. Crew. I picture them with a cool white or bright colored linen or light fabric button down shirt with jeans and heels or a nice T-shirts with cute shorts wedges and/or heels.

Only 2 more weeks and finally spring time!

So I only have 2 more weeks until our baby girl is born and am I ready to have this baby. The last couple weeks are the worst and thank god I didn't gain as much weight as I did with my son. One day maybe I will reveal how fat I got!

For those that are on the east coast are probably outside enjoying this great weather we're having lately I mean 70 degrees that's more than enough reason to play hooky from work! It's also good timing for the birth of Adriana as I won't have to be stuck all day inside and can at least go for a walk and get a head start on losing some of the baby weight.

Amy moms out there have some ideas on how to lose the baby weight quickly? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
